Grand

The activities at Grand Canyon West are split between two locations: The West Rim and Peach Springs. At the West Rim, you’ll find the Skywalk, ziplining, aerial tours, and calm floats down the Colorado River. You’ll also find Hualapai Ranch, where you can rent a cabin and experience the history and culture of the Canyon.

Grand Canyon

Peach Springs is the launch point for Colorado River whitewater rafting trips. It’s about a two hour drive from the West Rim, and you can stay at the Hualapai Lodge. Peach Springs is along an unspoiled section of historic Route 66, so in addition to seeing the Canyon you’ll be able to experience a stretch of this iconic highway.

Grand Canyon Village Lodging

Staying inside the National Park is one of the best ways to see the Canyon at sunrise and sunset since you are right there close to the Rim. Park lodges are also convenient for day hikes or nature walks around the Canyon. The Lodges are popular so we recommend booking your lodge far in advance of your vacation dates. The disadvantage of staying inside the Park is limited restaurants and evening entertainment.

Grand Canyon South Rim

Tusayan South Rim Hotels – 7 Miles to South Rim

Just outside the Park is a small town, Tusayan that offers a variety of hotels, restaurants and entertainment. Although Tusayan could be considered a “drive-through” town on the way to the Grand Canyon, there is actually quite a lot to do and lots of places to stay including evening entertainment, swimming pools, and game rooms for the kids.
